Citizens Police Academy
Overview
The Citizens Police Academy Program began in 1993 and is organized by the Operations Support Division. There are normally two CPA sessions per year.

Classes
Class members meet on Monday nights over a 10-week period and cover all aspects of police operations. Classes consist of lectures, demonstrations, tours, hands-on participation, and riding along with an officer. Classes are free of charge.

Application Process
  • Citizens Police Academy Application - CPA is open to anyone who lives or works in the City of Greenville and is at least 21 years of age.
  • CPA Applications are available at the Police and Courts Building, located at 3000 Lee St. and the Municipal Building, located at 2821 Washington St. 
  •  Next class will begin on September 13, 2010
