The Airport Advisory Board was created by the City Council in 1975 to assist in the development and marketing of Majors Field Airport.  The Board does not exercise any executive power or authority, but conducts studies relative to the development and needs of the airport.  The Board makes all recommendations directly to the City Council.

The seven-member board is appointed by the City Council for three-year terms.
