The City enforces the State and Local Standards for Public Swimming Pools and Spas adopted by the Texas Department of Health. A Public Swimming Pool Operation Permit is required if an entity intends to operate a public or semi-public pool or spa.

A complete copy of the Standards for Public Swimming Pools and Spas is available for purchase from the Community Development office, located at 2315 Johnson St. The Standards are also available from the Texas Department of Health.
