The Greenville Police Department and Hunt Regional Medical Center Trauma Department will sponsor a Back-to-School Bicycle Rodeo on:

JA-LU Municipal Swimming Pool - Lou Finney Ln.
Children aged eight to 12 are invited to attend this fun-filled event that teaches important aspects of safe cycling. The W. Walworth Harrison Public Library, Greenville Fire-Rescue, American Medical Response, Air Evac Lifeteam, and the Greenville Cycling Club will be assisting with the program.
The event is designed to teach bicyclists the skills they need in order to be better cyclists. By learning bicycle handling and traffic skills, children can enjoy bicycling more and reduce the change of injury.
The program is made up of a series of stations, each teaching an important aspect of safe cycling. Participants can have their bicycles inspected and then learn and practice bicycling handling skills that can increase their enjoyment of bicycling and safety measures that could some day save their lives.
Parents are invited to participate with their children.
Participants should bring their own bicycle and any safety equipment they have. Hunt Regional Medical Center Trauma Department will provide bicycle helmets free of charge to children that do not have one.
Registration for the Library's Summer Reading Program and Operation ID bicycle engraving will also be available on site.
