Audie Murphy American Cotton Museum

Extensive exhibits about WWII’s most decorated soldier - Audie Leon Murphy - are just the beginning at this family friendly museum located on I-30 near exit 95.  In addition to several great military exhibits, there are also sections of the museum dedicated to the days when cotton was king in Greenville.  You can also walk down a turn of the century street of shops, see a wreath made of human hair, stand next to a life size image of the “Giants” that once roamed our town, and see what a wooden leg and an autographed baseball by June Alyson have in common.  Outside the main museum, visit the Ende Gillard home - the oldest house in Greenville, and also visit Hunt County's stirring War Memorial.  To fully plan you Audie Murphy American Cotton Museum experience, visit Cotton Museum.

Splash Kingdom Water Slides

Splash Kingdom Air Patrol Water Park

North East Texas Children's Museum

Located just 15 minutes from Greenville in nearby Commerce, you will find a very different kind of museum where touching the exhibits is encouraged.  The North East Texas Children’s Museum features a wide variety of hands-on exhibits that encourage play and learning.  For hours, prices, and more information, visit their website Childrens Museum

Texas A&M Planetarium

Also in nearby Commerce on the campus of Texas A&M University Commerce is the Planetarium, home to a Digistar 5 all-digital projection system in a 40 foot dome which provides amazing sights and sounds for the audience. The planetarium's 87 reclined seats immerse the viewer in a space environment, filling their vision, appearing to take them to places beyond the Earth.  The planetarium is open to the public for regular planetarium shows on Fridays at 7 & 8 pm. Hunt County Fair

Every April the counties largest annual event opens its doors in Greenville - the Hunt County Fair.  Celebrating agriculture, livestock, art, and culture - all of the things that make Hunt County the wonderful place it is - the fair brings thousands of people to Greenville over its 10 day run.  And of course, there is a large dose of incredible fair food and a wonderful midway with attractions for children and the most daring!  For more information on the next edition of the Hunt County Fair, visit their website Hunt County Fair
