The W. Walworth Harrison Public Library is officially certified Sensory Inclusive! This means the library and all of its programs and events are sensory inclusive. Through training provided our new partner, KultureCity, library staff are better prepared to assist patrons with sensory sensitivities in having the most comfortable and accommodating experience possible when attending library events or making use of library services.
Sensory sensitivities or challenges with sensory regulation are often experienced by individuals with autism, dementia, PTSD and other similar conditions. Patrons can download the free KultureCity App where you can view what sensory features the library has made available, find where they can be accessed, and learn what to expect when coming to WWHPL. Contact the library if you have additional questions or to learn about the new sensory bags available for checkout.
Download the free KultureCity app for iPhone or Android, and search for the W. Walworth Harrison Public Library.
