“For the protection and preservation of the life and comfort, safety and general welfare of the inhabitants of the city and the safety from fire and explosion of the property located and situated therein, the City Council has adopted the 2018 International Fire Code, as amended, including appendices B–F, promulgated and sponsored by the International Code Council, as well as the 2018 North Central Texas Council of Governments amendments, including Option B.”
