Kids Camp

Kids Camp

The Greenville Police Department offers a Police Camp every summer for Greenville students that have completed the 5th grade and are entering the 6th grade. This camp is free because of the donations received from organizations and businesses in the community. The camp is week-long and breakfast and lunch are provided. The kids are separated into teams and every team is led by a Greenville Police Officer. Throughout the week the teams go to classes about safety, anti-bullying, first aid, crime scene investigation, juvenile law, and other topics. They also compete in sporting activities and team-building exercises. While attending the camp they will also get to see demonstrations by the SWAT Team, K-9, and the Fire Department. In Greenville ISD all students start attending the same campus in 6th grade, this camp is a great way to meet classmates that you will be with for years to come and have fun. Kids will also be able to build relationships of respect and trust with all of the Police Officers that are team leaders and facilitators.
