Finance Department

The Finance Department exists to provide City of Greenville decision-makers and stakeholders (City Council, Directors, Managers, staff and citizens) with accurate and timely financial reporting and procurement services. Finance supports: long-term and short-term quality financial cash management, payroll and accounting services, budget development and training and financial performance in support of management decision-makers.

The Department endeavors to provide timely and accurate financial reporting to both the City and the Community as a whole. Finance manages cash and investments in accordance with the City's Investment Policy with a focus on maintaining both safety and liquidity while earning a competitive yield. The Department provides myriad other services which include: receivables tracking, reporting and collections programs for all City departments, internal audit functions, payroll and payable processing for both City departments and GEUS, accounting for capital projects and grants, accurate and regulatory compliant purchasing services and administration of P-Cards for all City divisions.
