[ARCHIVED] STREET WORK CLOSES SHELBY, WELLINGTON TO TRAFFIC

STREET WORK CLOSES SHELBY, WELLINGTON TO TRAFFIC
GREENVILLE – The City of Greenville will be reconstructing portions of Shelby Avenue and Wellington Street from, Saturday, August 29, 2015, through Friday, September 11, 2015, affecting traffic in those areas.

Shelby Avenue will be closed to thru traffic from Creek Crossing to just west of the Montana neighborhood driveways during reconstruction, while Wellington will be closed to thru traffic from Shelby to Ridgecrest, just south of the VFW Post.

During this period of reconstruction, traffic will be diverted to Creek Crossing, Joe Ramsey Boulevard, Ridgecrest Road and Sayle Street. Residents living in these two areas will still be allowed to reach their homes. All detour signs will be placed in the area, Friday, August 28th.

We appreciate the patience and cooperation of the public during this time and remind everyone to be careful and observe all traffic signs through construction zones. For questions concerning construction within the City, contact the Public Works Department at 903-457-3135.
