[ARCHIVED] Downtown Streets Closed for Bicycle Ride

Several downtown blocks near the Hunt County Courthouse will be temporarily closed on Saturday, September 19, for the annual Cotton Patch Challenge bicycle ride. 

The following blocks of downtown will be closed for the ride:

  • Stonewall Street from Jordan to Crockett (2400-2500-2600-2700 blocks) closed from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. The 2400, 2600, 2700 blocks open by 9 a.m. after riders have left the square. The 2500 block remains closed all day.
  • Lee street from Johnson to St John (2500-2600 blocks) closed from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. The 2600 bock open by 9 a.m. after riders have left the square. The 2500 block remains closed all day.
  • Johnson from Lee to Washington (2500 block) closed all day.
  • Jordan from Johnson to St John (2500, 2600) closed from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. The blocks will open after riders leave the square.
  • Washington from Stonewall to Johnson (2500) closed all day.
