[ARCHIVED] PRESS RELEASE: DROP IN WATER PRESSURE TEMPORARILY

PRESS RELEASE: DROP IN WATER PRESSURE TEMPORARILY

GREENVILLE: Public Works staff is reducing the high service pumps, those that pump the finished water into the distribution system, in order for the water storage tanks to fill back up.

When this happens, residents will see a reduction in water pressure, however, there should be adequate water available. Once the storage tanks fill back up, which may take a couple of days, we can increase water pressure back to normal. Please be patient as it takes time to get all of the storage tanks filled in order to create the needed backpressure for the system to operate properly.

Again, we ask residents to conserve as much water as possible for the next several days to help get our system back to normal pressure and flow.
