PRESS RELEASE: RIBBON-CUTTING CEREMONY CELEBRATES EARLY OPENING OF THE STONEWALL STREET RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT

GREENVILLE: The City of Greenville announces: Stonewall Street Reconstruction Project is now complete. Stonewall is open in both directions. The City of Greenville has replaced all water and sewer lines and added new street lights down Stonewall Street with the 2019 GO Bond. 

City Council approved this project on July 14, 2020, at the City Council Meeting; and Tri-Con Services, Inc. was awarded this project on July 15, 2020. The project was to take 365 days and be completed by July 15, 2021. Tri-Con Services, Inc. completed this project within 7 months and 3 weeks, 5 months ahead of schedule. 

The City of Greenville along with the Engineering Company, Stovall Surveying/Engineering an MTG Company, and Tri-Con Services held a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Friday, March 5, 2021, to celebrate the finished project and open the road for all traffic. 

The City would like to thank the citizens that reside on Stonewall for all their support and help with the construction phases of this project. This could not have been completed without the help of the Citizens of Greenville, Stovall Surveying/Engineering an MTG Company, Tri-Con Services, Inc., GEUS, and our City of Greenville Engineering Division. Thank you to all who made this a success.
