PRESS RELEASE – ROBBERY

GREENVILLE: At approximately 1:48 p.m. on December 5, 2021, Greenville Police Department Officers were dispatched to a disturbance at 3812 Wesley. It was determined that a shoplifter injured one of the clerks who was attempting to detain the shoplifter for theft. The theft suspect was arrested a short time later after attempting to evade officers. Due to the injuries caused by the suspect in this incident the suspect was charged with robbery along with evading arrest or detention with a vehicle. The injury incurred by the store clerk was minor.
