PRESS RELEASE – CITY SEEKS NEW MEMBERS FOR LOCAL BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS

GREENVILLE: The City of Greenville is looking for citizens to apply to serve on City Boards and Commissions due to resignations or due to the end-of-term limit for current members.

Serving on a City Board or Commission is an excellent way to get involved with local government and learn the inner workings of the city. Board members are appointed by the City Council as terms expire or vacancies arise.

Appointees should be residents of the City of Greenville unless the requirement is waived by the City Council. Board members must be registered voters and should not be a party to litigation against the City. Applicants should also be current on all taxes and utilities.

The City is currently considering applications for the following board: City Zoning Board of Adjustment.

Please submit applications by December 4, 2022. Applications are retained for a period of one year. Applications and information are available online at www.ci.greenville.tx.us, by contacting the City Secretary’s Office at 903-457-3121, or for pickup at the City Municipal Building located at 2821 Washington Street.
