PRESS RELEASE – SECOND ANNUAL HUNT COUNTY FESTIVAL OF THE ARTS

GREENVILLE: The second annual Hunt County Festival of the Arts comes to Downtown Greenville on Saturday, May 6. This year’s event builds on the success of last year's event to highlight the arts in Hunt County. Positioned along Lee Street, this year’s Festival space will include over 70 vendors and artists from around our region with some coming from as far away as Fort Worth. Supporters of the event will discover handmade art and craft items and art pieces for sale from the wide variety of vendors and artists coming to the event.

Come hungry to the festival and enjoy one of our amazing downtown restaurants and visit our food truck park set up at The Spot on Lee Street. Then head over to the Texan Theatre to see one of the live performances happening that day. Shows include the final performance of Greenville Independent School District (GISD) High School’s One Act Play at 11:15 a.m., GISD Suzuki Strings at 12:30 p.m., Cricket City Improv from Texas A&M University-Commerce at 1:30 p.m., a performance from Greenville Family Theatre at 2:30 p.m., and then closing out the Texan shows come hear the contestants from The Voice of Hunt County including this year’s winner, Carissa Carter at 3:30 p.m.!

There will be an outdoor stage setup at the end of the festival space featuring live music from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. The schedule for live music features Cole Risner at 11:00 a.m., Brandon Callies at 12:00 p.m., Remy Reilly at 1:15 p.m., Blues Doctors at 2:30 p.m., Heart of the City at 4:00 p.m., and our headlining band Deep Blue Something from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. It will be an afternoon of amazing music here in Downtown Greenville.

The outdoor music and festival are family-friendly and free to the public. There will be barrel room tours at Landon Winery and our downtown retailers and restaurants will be open for business and ready to serve you and your family as you shop, eat, and play in Downtown Greenville!
