2. How are youth teams formed?

Teams are formed through our Coach Look and Draft process. Team registration is not accepted.

3. What is "Coach Look"?

This is the first step in our Youth Draft Process for participants in 8&under through 12&under. New players to the league or players who are moving up in an age division should attend this. Participants will run through a short series of sport related drills giving the coaches in attendance an opportunity to place a face with a name during the Coach Draft.

4. What is a "Protected Player"

Protected players are chosen by the coach to be guaranteed to that team. Each team may only have two (2) protected players Children of the head coach/assistant coach count as a protected player.

If returning to the same age division the following year all returning protected players remain the same. New protected players may not be chosen unless a protected player has moved up an age division or is not returning that season.

5. What is the "Hat"?

Players that do not attend the coach look are placed into the "hat" and will be drawn at random to a team. Players also not wanting to return to the same coach/team can elect to enter the hat to be drawn to another team.

6. Do we offer a "buddy" system?

No. The only way that players can be guaranteed to be on the same team is:
1. They are siblings
2. They are protected players

7. My child does not want to return to the same team?

In the event that a parent/child does not want to return to the same team the parent may fill out a "Hat Form" stating the reason for not wanting to enter the hat to be drawn to a new team.

8. What happens after Coach Look?

In the days following Coach Look, coaches will draft their teams and contact their players with their practice schedules for the following week. The draft is generally two days following coach look.

9. What to do if you have not heard from a coach for your child's team?

If you have not heard from a coach by the Monday following Coach Look then call our office at 903-457-2994 and we will resolve the situation.

10. How do I become a coach?

When registering your child select the "Willing to coach" option. If you do not have a child participating and would like to coach please contact our office at 903-457-2994.

All coaches must pass a background check.
