All City Buildings have a Toys for Tots Drop off box! Let’s fill them up!!

If you're someone who wants to get the Christmas Tree going just as quickly as possible, and you want the experience of cutting a live tree, then check out Kadee Christmas Tree Farm, located 7 miles southeast of Greenville at 5054 Hwy 69 South. They will open for the Christmas season on November 18th and their hours will be Monday - Friday 2 - 7pm, Saturday and Sunday 10am - 7pm. They will close December 17 unless they're sold out before. They offer choose and cut Virginia pines, other fir trees, wreaths and garlands and a gift shop with holiday items. In addition, there are lots of family activities, including hayrides, animal barn, fire pit, snacks, hot cider and lots more. They also have a Walking Trail of Lights from November 18th-December 17th, Tuesday-Sunday from 5:30-8pm. Admission to the lights is $8.00 per person. The City of Greenville is excited to kickoff the holiday season with their first-ever SportsPark Holiday Light Show, which they promise will be a spectacular walk-through light show that will leave you in awe! The show will open on the Friday after Thanksgiving and run from 6-10pm most evenings, but closed Mondays and Tuesdays. The Sports Park is located at 3603 Leo Hackney Blvd, which is at the corner of Sayle St. and Kari Ln. There will be vendors and food concessions there to add to the holiday festivities

Saturday, November 25, 2023 is Small Business Saturday – a day to celebrate and support small businesses and all they do for their communities. Please support our small businesses in the area - perhaps you can even discover some new ones! I love highlighting the gems in our community.

Every Saturday at 11 am, the Texan is showing one of the amazing opera performances from the Metropolitan Opera on the big screen in the theater. You can enjoy a spectacular show in a very comfy setting and have food and delicious coffee shop beverages delivered right to your table. Check the Texan’s Facebook page to see which opera is showing each week, and to see the list of upcoming live performances. I’ve been and was thrilled to see the incredible staging, gorgeous costumes and great music. And it’s FREE!
