Tim Kruse


Tim Kruse ran for Place 4 on the Greenville City Council unopposed in the May 2020 election.   Kruse was sworn into office was seated on the Council in November, due to the COVID-19 pandemic delay.   Originally from Davenport, Iowa Tim majored in theater design and production at the University of Northern Iowa.   Through the years, Kruse has been a lead rigger for large arena shows throughout the United States.  Kruse moved to Greenville 14 years ago.  He along with his wife Aletha is involved in several projects and activities in the community. The Kruse’s are best known for creating the annual Greenville Flag Project.  Tim was inspired to place flags first along Park street during the Fourth of July Parade and eventually this grew, and they began to place flags along the Audie Murphy overpass and along the highway.  Eventually the Kruse’s added crosses to honor fallen soldiers as well to the project.  

Tim Kruse wife Aletha, who together raise their 3 children, reside in Place 4 on historical Park Street.
