Kenneth Freeman was elected as Councilmember Place 6 in May 2021.

Mr. Freeman was born in Duncan, Oklahoma. Mr. Freeman was raised in Greenville, Texas, and attended Greenville Independent School District.

Kenneth is married to Mary Freeman, they have 6 children, 25 grandchildren, and 19 great-grandchildren. He worked for the GISD as a bus driver for many years before retiring.

Mr. Freeman created the group, “Mighty Men of Valor” as a community awareness organization whose focus was assist young men to grow in their roles as Godly examples in their homes, church, and in the community.

Mr. Freeman says his hobbies are ministering to those in need. He mentors and ministers those in the local jail and provides outreach to the elderly, homebound, and homeless. He volunteers his time with FISH, Hand of Compassion, Back to School programs, and any other groups he can help out in the community.
