Terry Thomas 150x225 council page Terry Thomas was elected to Place 1 of the Greenville City Council in a run-off election held on June 12, 2021.

Mr. Thomas was born in Zanesville, Ohio, and graduated from Largo High School in Largo, Florida. Educational background includes: Community College of the Air Force – Jet Aircraft Maintenance, Airframe and Powerplant studies at the University of Hawaii and Business Management Studies at East Texas State University.

Mr. Thomas’ career highlights include: Serving our country in The United States Air Force achieving the rank of Chief Master Sergeant and serving for 24 years. Production program manager, Business Development Manager, E-Systems, Raytheon, and L3 Communications for 17 years. Director of Sales and Marketing, Helm Hotels Group, 10 years. Vice-President of Sales and Marketing, Ascend Growth Partners for 2 years.

Terry has served the Greenville community by volunteering on numerous boards and committees as follows: Greenville Chamber of Commerce – Ambassador for 20 years, American Cancer Society Volunteer for 25 years, Chairman of the Greenville Tourism Board for 6 years, Board member, Vice-Chairman, Chairman of the Greenville Board of Development, and has served as a volunteer for the Greenville Chamber golf tournament for 25 years.

Terry Thomas is married to Vicki Darlene Neese Thomas and has a son, Joey Thomas, Jr. He enjoys playing golf and traveling.
