Brett Quarles is the Director of Parks and Recreation for the City of Greenville.
A native of Stephenville, Texas he attended Tarleton State University where he concentrated on Exercise and Sports Studies.
Quarles worked for his hometown’s Parks and Recreation Department for 16 years, from 1992 – 2008, before making the move to Greenville. Since joining the staff here, he has been the Recreation Manager, the Parks and Recreation Manager, Interim Director of Parks and Recreation and is now the Director of Parks and Recreation.
His goal is to continue to bring cost-effective, family friendly sports and recreation opportunities to the community in well-maintained parks and facilities. Expanding upon the available activities when able and consistently ensuring local children, adults and seniors have a safe, clean environment in which to spend their leisure time.
Quarles is married to Jessica and is the father of two daughters, Mia and Marin. In his spare time he enjoys watching his wife barrel race and watching his daughters’ playing sports.
